Amanda read Law & Politics at Oxford Brookes and spent her gap year working as a paralegal for Freshfields in Hong Kong. She attended law school at the College of Law, Guildford, and trained at Macfarlanes, where she qualified in 1991. Shortly afterwards she moved to Stephenson Harwood in order to specialise as a family lawyer. Amanda joined Gordon Dadds, then the leading family law firm in London, in 1994. During her time in London she acted for high profile clients with complex and substantial assets, many of whose cases proceeded in the High Court.

Following her marriage in 1995, Amanda moved out of London and joined Thomas Eggar in West Sussex, where she became an associate in a large family team spanning four offices.

Amanda joined Moss Fallon in 2008 after a career break bringing up her two children. During her time away from the law, Amanda became involved in the music industry and for the last three years has managed the VIP and celebrity hospitality at the Cornbury Festival.

Outside the law Amanda’s interests include music, running, riding, horse racing, sailing and travel.
